This page explains how to delete your account and data for the Kitap Okudum app (developer: Nurettin Dönmez).
1. Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the Kitap Okudum app and sign in.
- Go to More → Settings → Session → Delete account. The same button is also under Profile → Edit profile → Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is closed right away and cannot be signed in to again.
2. Can't open the app? Ask by email
- Write to info@kitapokudum.com from the email address registered to your account.
- Use the subject "Account deletion" and include your username.
- We may reply to confirm it is you. We complete your request within 30 days at the latest.
Parents who want their child's account deleted can write to the same address.
What is deleted
Your account and profile (email, username, full name, birth year, phone, profile photo), your library and reading entries, ratings and reviews, goals and reminders, class and group messages, family links and notification registrations.
How long it takes
- From the live system: within 30 days at the latest.
- From safety backups: backups are kept for 6 months and then deleted automatically, so within 6 months at the latest. A deleted account is never restored from a backup.
- If the law requires us to keep a record, we keep only that record and only for as long as the law requires.
The same email address cannot be used to sign up again.
